It’s taken me a while to choose a photograph for this weeks theme. I kept coming back to photographs I took on a trip to Dungeness, a unique headland on the Kent coast which I’ve blogged about here and here.
I don’t know what the flower is but I love the way it’s juxtaposed with the fishermen’s cottages, the nuclear power station and the beautiful blue sky. I’m amazed anything grows on the shingle beach but over 600 different types of plant grow (a third of all those found in Britain).
