The benefits of a good nights sleep

How important is sleep to you? Earlier today I was reading an article about Prince over on the BBC website. Apparently he used to boast no one could last as long as him without sleep. I’m not sure that can be good for your health but I doubt you can be a musical genius without sacrificing something.

I love my sleep and pretty much the only thing that stops me having a good nights sleep is my husband. Before your mind jumps to the wrong conclusion let me state that his snoring keeps me awake, nothing else.

Monday 25th April will see the start of National Stop Snoring Week. Did you know there are an estimated 15million people in the UK who snore – but the right pillow could make all the difference.

We were sent a couple of the Silentnight Anti-Snore pillows to try out. They aim to reduce snoring by gently supporting the head and neck in a position that encourages better body alignment. The pillow has a firm core, which has been ergonomically shaped to raise the head slightly.

We’ve both been sleeping well since we’ve started using the new pillows and my husband hasn’t been keeping me awake – so they must be working. The pillows are quite firm which takes a little getting used to. I never change my pillows as often as I should. Hypoallergenic and machine washable, the Silentnight Anti-Snore pillow is made in the UK and available from a number of retailers including Sleepypeople.
