Thankful paper turkey bookmark {+ free template}

I couldn’t resist adding another Thanksgiving craft to my collection. This Thankful paper turkey bookmark is fun to make from colourful craft paper. You can make one, but we made two so it wasn’t lonely. They make super cute bookmarks but you can use them in lots of different ways, from decorations to place settings on the table, or even make lots and string them up to make a fun Thanksgiving banner.

List of supplies:
Coloured craft papers
Pencil
A pair of scissors
Craft glue
Sharpies
Free paper turkey template

How to make your own Thankful paper turkey bookmark:

Prepare the template patterns and select thick craft papers for this craft. The template includes patterns for the head, body base, neck feather, beak, wattle, wings, legs, tail feather base, and tail feathers. Trace the patterns on the selected craft papers and cut them out neatly.

Attach the neck feather along the top side of the lower body cutout.

Attach the leg cutouts on the bottom side of the body cutout and attach the beak cutout on the head cutout.

Attach the head piece to the top side of the body base.

Take the wing cutouts and apply a line of glue along the outer edge of the left and right sides of the body base. Attach the wing cutout on the edge, keeping the rest of the wing free from glue.

Similarly, attach the other wing. Attach the blush and wattle cutout to the head piece.

Take the feather base cutout and attach the feather cutouts to the base.

Attach the feather tail on the back of the paper turkey body part.

To use the paper turkey as a bookmark, insert a page between the wings and the body part of the paper turkey.
