Last week a new subscription box popped through my door – the Japan Candy Box. Japan Candy Box is the sweetest monthly Japanese candy subscription service and we were excited to try it out. It’s time for my favourite post of the week, my Monday happy things. We spent the last week at my mum’s which was lovely. The weather was great and we spent every day out exploring the beautiful countryside. We visited Salisbury and had fun looking for the Barons’ Charter sculptures. The Barons’ Charter includes 25 life-sized decorated medieval baron sculptures displayed as an art trail across the city. The trail is open until 6th September and well worth a visit. They will then be auctioned to raise money for The Trussell Trust, the UK’s leading poverty charity. Our favourite sculpture…

I’ve developed a serious addiction to subscription boxes recently. I love anything cute, kawaii or which introduces me to new designers and makers. I’ve been following the Lucky Dip Club box for a while and decided to treat myself to the July box. The subscription rates seem pretty reasonable and I’m *just* about coping with the school holidays. I’m a little late with my weekly Monday happy things post as we’ve spent the last 24 hours at a very special overnight stay at Whipsnade Zoo to celebrate Frubes’ partnership with the Minions movie. We had an amazing adventure, sleeping in our own private lodge next to the white rhinos. I’ll be writing a post on our experience later this week. I love subscription boxes and if they are full of a carefully selected mix of Japanese and Korean kawaii products even better. Last week the June Kawaii Box landed on my doorstep and I waited until my children were occupied at school before I opened it. It arrived beautifully packaged in a sturdy cardboard box. I adore receiving snail mail, not the brown envelope kind, but the little box of monthly loveliness otherwise known as subscription boxes. Last week I received the June Stocking Box which I have been looking forward to sharing with you. Over the weekend we tried out a Weekend Box, it’s a clever little box which fits neatly through your letter box and contains four activities: Something to Cook Something to Make Something to Explore and Something Green Each activity is designed to build sensory exploration skills within little ones aged 3-8 as well as help teach them about different life skills in a fun and engaging way.
