    Reasons to be cheerful

    1. I bought Edward a lovely pair of walking shoes today. He hasn’t noticed he’s wearing them yet which is a good sign as he kept taking the last pair off! As he was such a good boy at the shoe shop (getting his feet measured and walking around the shop in a couple of pairs of shoes) I spoiled him by buying him some new toys even though he doesn’t need any more.     Reasons to be cheerful

      1. This was meant to be my first week back at work after maternity leave but as I resigned it’s been the first week of my new role as full-time mum. I’ve had a few wobbles about my decision this week but I know it was the right decision for me and my family.     Reasons to be cheerful

        So many reasons to be cheerful this week: 1. Edward is better and back to his normal self. We’ve experienced our first bout of sickness and diarrhoea which was unpleasant. I’ve never done so much washing in Edward’s short life! Fortunately he’s fine and he’s eating home cooked food and sleeping well again. Phew. 2. One of my worries about giving up work was if I could stimulate Edward more than if he attended nursery. I’ve drawn up a list of local activities so there’s always something we can go out and do.
