Quinny have asked to have a look at the chassis of our Quinny Zapp Xtra in light of it falling over with Edward in it. So it has been carefully packed and returned to Quinny HQ. We look forward to seeing if they find anything wrong with it. In the meantime, we will be resorting to using our faithful, vintage (i.e. very old) Bugaboo.

Today we decided to take the Quinny Zapp Xtra out for a spin in central London. We wanted to go and visit an exhibition at the wonderful Museum of London where I worked a couple of years ago. Here’s my video of my husband unpacking the Quinny Zapp Xtra from the car and putting it together. [youtube=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1W6bkwMALH4&fs=1&hl=en_US&rel=0] As you can see it’s really easy to unpack and put together. We spent some time in the Museum of London before we had lunch then went for a stroll around Smithfield and did some geocaching. Edward was so comfortable that he slept…

I’m feeling a bit down today as I took Edward out in the new Quinny Zapp Xtra and it fell over with him in it. Quinny said we should be honest in our reviews so I’m going to let you know what happened. I decided to test drive the Quinny on public transport and put our Maxi-Cosi car seat on the Quinny base. We took the Quinny Zapp Xtra out today for the first time. We had plans to meet a friend for lunch so hopped on the tube to the other side of London. We had a lovely walk along the Thames, lunch in a great pub, followed by a spot of shopping. The Quinny did us proud, easily managing the tube system, escalators and lifts. We weaved in and out of the people at a busy shopping centre and hung our shopping bags off the handles (even though you’re not meant to!).

With the Quinny Zapp Xtra came the first challenge to record the unpacking of the Quinny. We couldn’t wait any longer so tonight, after Edward was in bed, we opened it. We thought just over 8 minutes to unpack the Quinny and set it up wasn’t bad, especially as Emma managed to put hers up – blindfolded – in 10!

As I mentioned the other day I am very excited to be a QuinnyCaster. I’ve been trying to think of a different way to review the product and thought it might be fun to make my own cartoon strip about it! Let’s see how successful I am… Here is the first installment: Introducing the Kearney’s and second installment: Preparation What do you think? Good idea or not?
