How to make Union flag bunting

With The Queen’s official birthday celebrations taking place over the next few days in London, I thought I would make some special Union flag inspired bunting. How to make Union flag bunting I used the Sizzix Bigz Plus Die – Bunting (661173) which features two different bunting flag shapes, and Limited Edition Union Flag (Union Jack) Duck Tape. I love crafting with Duck Tape and this is a great way to make some bunting which should last through the Queen’s 90th birthday celebrations, Euro 2016, Wimbledon and the Olympics. You can find my full tutorial over on the Sizzix blog today. You may…

Things which make me proud to be British

I love having something to celebrate with the whole family and we’ve been busy celebrating The Queen’s 90th birthday for a few weeks now. Last week both children had tea parties at school and my 6 year old keeps sharing everything he has been learning about The Queen, her homes, her children and everything! At times like this I feel very proud to be British. The Queen’s 90th birthday (craft activities for kids)

I’ve written a few posts about the Queen’s 90th birthday now. I’m a bit of a Royalist and want my children to understand why we have a Royal family and why they’re relevant today. We’ve carried on the fun at home with this special Queen’s 90th birthday sun catcher craft which we’re sharing today. Queen’s 90th birthday sun catcher craft We love sun catcher crafts as they are so quick and easy. We used a blank template of the Queen from iChild.co.uk, you need to create a free account to download it. Both children went over the outline…

A cake fit for a Queen

We’ve been having a lot of fun commemorating the Queen’s 90th birthday. We’ve been busy with some of our own crafts (you can find them listed below) and my 6 year old is taking part in a special tea party for the Queen’s birthday this week at school. He is always keen to carry on crafting at home so was excited to receive a bundle of resources from iChild to help celebrate the Queen’s 90th birthday. He loved looking through the educational resources we were sent. He carefully divided them into the activities he wanted to do and the others were put…
