A few weeks ago we visited a pumpkin patch near London. We had a great time exploring the pumpkin patch and choosing our pumpkins and squashes. As it’s Edward’s first Halloween we decided to go all out to have a party to remember. Edward had two outfits, or a morning and afternoon outfit, as he is a messy eater! This morning he wore a skeleton outfit and this afternoon a pumpkin outfit (hat knitted by nanny!). As well as an outfit we decided to have Halloween themed food and decorations, which meant a carved pumpkin. My husband is a novice pumpkin carver but managed to produce this beauty: Not bad for his first attempt!

With all the excitement over Christmas I completely forgot to post about my new Blythe doll. After much careful web research I decided to take a day off from work and go to Brighton to purchase my Blythe. Very few shops sell them in the UK but I managed to buy a mini Blythe in Forbidden Planet, London, in 2006. Yay, today I won a lovely pumpkin pin on a giveaway from sewSpun. I love the colour and aspire to make something like this one day. I popped into a new Christmas shop which has opened on Marylebone High Street at lunch time today.
