    Review: Baby Sensory

I love being offered products to review but we really really enjoy the opportunity of going to new events where we can learn something or try a different experience! So when we were offered the chance to attend a baby sensory class I was excited. Baby Sensory provides hundreds of sensory development activities that are great fun for parents and babies to share in the vital first year. The classes include fibre optic light shows, bubbles, bells, musical fun, baby signing, puppet shows, amazing light balls and so much more. Classes are aimed from birth to 13 months with separate…

    Just like mummy

Before having a child I hadn’t appreciated just how they learn all the time, their brains are like a sponge. Over the last few weeks Edward has started copying what I do. It’s amazing watching him. He’s obsessed with picking baby wipes out of a packet but will not only pick them out, he’ll also use them to wipe the dining room table, wipe his mouth and wipe round his sippy cup at meal times. I’ve been trying to turn it into a game to teach him about tidying up and keeping clean. He’s started picking up the dustpan and…

    Vintage fuzzy felt

This is the first time I have joined in with Magpie Monday. I’m addicted to charity shops and have some lovely vintage finds dotted around our house. Unfortunately there are only a few charity shops where we live and I have to wait until I visit my family in other parts of the country to get my fix! Vintage fuzzy felts My most recent favourite find was this vintage fuzzy felt! I adored fuzzy felt when I was younger and had a couple of boxes stashed at my grandparents house to play with. I picked up this set for the…

Toys for a 10 month old

Edward is growing up so fast! When he was about 5 months old I started looking for toys he could smart play with and VTech was recommended to us. A friend used the First Steps Baby Walker with her children and they loved it so I bought one. From the moment it came out of the box my son loved it.   It was easy to assemble and the detachable learning centre means it can be used whilst sitting. The toy really grows with the needs of the child and encourages learning through a variety of activities. Edward has learned…

Klip Kitz Toy Story Buzz Lightyear review

I was lucky enough to win a Klip Kitz Toy Story Buzz Lightyear from Karen at All About The Boys. My son is too young to play with it so I gave it to our friends’ little boy who is 4 and Toy Story mad. Here is her review: William and Justin did it together after you left and really enjoyed themselves. It took about 45 mins to make with Daddy doing most of it (since it was really for a 5 year old), however William did do some of the larger pieces himself. Assembly was straight forward other than…

    The Gallery: Playtime

My little one has reached the stage where he loves to play. He spends the whole day laughing and giggling but his face really lights up when you get down to his level and play. We’ve tried not to go too mad buying toys but I didn’t anticipate his favourite pasttime would be lying on his baby gym sucking plastic rings! This post was written for Week 21 of Tara’s Gallery The theme this week was Playtime For more ideas for playtime check out The Play Academy.
