    For Your Eyes Only {BEAR Yoyos Secret Spy Adventure cards}

    My children are absolutely crazy about collecting the cards inside packs of BEAR Yoyos. Luckily they get through plenty of the fruity rolls as they are the perfect healthy addition to their packed lunch or snack. They were so excited to hear that BEAR is embarking on a brand new, TOP SECRET spy adventure and that there are 65 new cards to collect! My children love dressing up and were recruited by the Department of Danger to accompany Agent BEAR and Mole on their TOP SECRET spy adventure. They received a lovely spy kit to help them save the world…

    A family day out at the London Model Engineering Exhibition

    On Saturday the whole family went to the London Model Engineering Exhibition at Alexandra Palace. This isn’t usually my idea of a fun day out but we used to live in the area and I was really keen to go back to re-visit some old haunts. The London Model Engineering Exhibition is in it’s 21st year and Ally Pally is a great venue for it. It’s a huge and very old entertainment complex built at the top of a hill. It houses a pub and ice rink as well as huge exhibition halls and we’ve seen Keane perform there as…

    Winter fairy garden play

    We’ve had a run of beautiful but cold days recently. These are my favourite winter days and we’ve all wanted to be outside before coming back in to warm up with a hot chocolate! Over the weekend we spent a bit of time cleaning out our mud kitchen which was looking so sad and neglected. All the pots were full of muddy, frozen water and it needed a good clean up. The children helped clear out the old pinecones and acorns we had collected and sweep away the sand and dust. We left it looking so much cleaner, all ready…

    Lion Guard Hyena Hideout Playset

    We already have some lovely Lion Guard toys. These include the Lion Guard Collectible Figure Set and Defend the Pride Lands play set. My daughter loves these toys and they are pretty much always out. Both children love to watch The Lion Guard so were so excited to receive the Lion Guard Hyena Hideout Playset. This is a new playset from Flair and promises hours of fun to be had, recreating Lion Guard scenes from the show! Lion Guard Hyena Hideout Playset The playset may be mini but the adventures are big at this creepy Hyena Hide Out! It comes…

    Playing Minecraft offline {Minecraft Figure Collection}

    My 6 year old has been playing Minecraft for quite a long time now. He is a bit of an expert and his 5 year old sister enjoys playing too, although she’s not allowed in his world unless he’s watching! Last Christmas everything was about Minecraft. He received Minecraft clothing, books and toys which have been played with over and over again. It seems kind of funny that you can buy Minecraft toys when it’s a computer game but my son already has a collection of Minecraft figures and accessories. A new Minecraft Figure Collection from Character Options has recently…

    Disney’s Moana of Oceania doll review

    We are so excited about the latest Disney film, Moana. It was released just before Christmas and we went to see it during the holidays. We love going to the cinema and Moana is a great anti-princess figure for my daughter. Moana is anĀ adventure about a spirited teenager who sails out on a daring mission to prove herself a master wayfinder and fulfil her ancestors’ unfinished quest. During her journey, Moana meets the once-mighty demi-god Maui, and together, they traverse the open ocean on an action-packed voyage, encountering enormous fiery creatures and impossible odds. My 5 year old daughter enjoyed…

    Stay strong this Christmas with Actimel #ad

    As much as I love this time of year I can feel my stress levels rising. Both me and my husband have been battling our way through illness this week which has put a stop to my Christmas preparations. I like to be organised but try not to do anything until my daughter has celebrated her birthday at the end of November. This means that December is full of present buying, card writing, meal planning, Christmas concerts and trying to keep the children calm in the run up to the big day (no mean feat!). However, I am trying not…

    A fairytale Christmas at Hughenden Manor

    I’ve mentioned Hughenden Manor a few times on my blog. It’s a local National Trust property and a great family day out. We’ve recently re-joined the National Trust as we realised how much we missed being members so I am looking forward to lots more great days out in 2017! We visited Hughenden in October to go pumpkin carving. You can read all about our Halloween experience here. As we were leaving one of the volunteers mentioned we should book early for Christmas and I did. I read a little more about it on their website and knew it sounded…
