    An Autumn clean

I’m so glad we’re back in our ‘normal’ routine – as normal as life can be with a baby and toddler. The little man is back at his school twice a week which means I get a couple of hours with the baby. We’ve just started going to a weekly music class and it is lovely doing something together and getting out of the house. However the end of summer means getting back to our plans of moving. We’re doing all those small jobs around the house which we’ve ignored since moving in 5 years ago. We’ve replaced the broken…

    An Orla Kiely nursery?

Tots100 and Ratedpeople.com have challenged us to makeover a room in the most creative way we can think of. The timing is perfect, given as how I have moaned before about our lack of space. Our 10 month old still sleeps with us and I haven’t enjoyed sleeping through the night since she was born.   So, our plan. Our front bedroom was originally two bedrooms but converted to one when the loft was converted and a staircase put in. My husband works from home so the room is his office and our guest bedroom. Elbow grease needed!

It was a sad day when I realised that my duties as a stay at home mum would not only include sole responsibility of the children, but also the cooking, cleaning, food shopping, meal planning, washing, toy tidying and general care and maintenance of the house. My husband is a very busy man. Cleaning really is the bane of my life and I always need plenty of warning before friends visit so I can make sure the house is spotless. I’m lazy but house proud. With two children it’s pretty hard to keep on top of the mess as I…

Colour boutique range from morphy richards

As part of my role as a morphy richards innovator we have been trying out a new kettle and toaster from the new Colour Boutique range. Morphy Richards know the importance of colour when it comes to home interiors and adding a splash of colour with striking appliances can be a cost effective way to refresh your kitchen. Our kitchen is a bit of a mix of colours so we chose the orange kettle and toaster from the vibrant range as we both love orange. The first thing we noticed was that the colour on the website and box did…

    Zoflora review

I can’t resist a good old British heritage brand and I’ve recently been trying Zoflora*, the UK’s favourite household disinfectant brand, which is celebrating its 90th birthday this year. Zoflora is still manufacturing in its Huddersfield factory, since the brand began in 1922, and is known for its fragranced antibacterial disinfectant products. Originally created for use in Britain’s dance halls, it rapidly became a household favourite, replacing harsh carbolic disinfectants with fragrant, perfume enriched Zoflora. Zoflora has been on trend with each generation of user appreciating the new fragrances added to the range. Zoflora is introducing a brand new, limited…
