    Holidays and sunburnt hands!

We’re coming to the end of a week spent in Devon and Cornwall. It has been quite an experiencing holidaying with an 11 week old! However, we managed to have a great time and visited Lanhydrock, a monkey sanctuary and the Eden Project, not to mention the picturesque seaside villages of Looe and Polperro. Dungeness

Today it felt like summer had finally arrived in the UK. It’s no joke that we’ve had constant rain, overcast skies, and dismally dreary days so far this year. Another weekend gone

I spent the weekend enjoying the sunshine on the Isle of Wight with my family. My youngest niece was particularly cute, although she didn’t really want her photograph taken.

We passed some really pretty places, such as the lit up Newbold Tunnel, Stretton Stop and even tried our hand at Hillmorton Locks. Of course we didn’t take any pictures of the really interesting places but we did photograph bridges, steps, more bridges and the pubs we stopped off at!

    Cigarettes and alcohol

Today we made a day trip to France to pick up some booze for us and fags for my sister. We spent a couple of hours driving round Calais, completely bewildered by the local tradition of wedding parties driving around the city centre tooting their horns! Saturday must be wedding day over there. Then we drove further up the coast to Dunkirk where we had something to eat in a cafe in the main square and people watched. It was so lovely being out of London, even if it was just for a couple of hours. And now we have…
