    Today my 6 year old has been off school sick. He has chicken pox, even though I thought he had it when he was little. Apparently you can get it twice, just like his younger sister. Luckily I didn’t have any plans so today we have played Monopoly Token Madness (great for his maths skills!), I’ve watched him play Minecraft for too long and he has been busy creating with hama beads.     Once again we were the lucky recipients of a bundle of craft kits from Baker Ross which kept my children busy during half term. With the weather turning a little less wintery (I can hope, can’t I?!), the children playing outside more and my tête-à-tête blooming, I declare it is time for Springtime crafting!     Hama time

    I’ve been obsessed with pinning projects using hama beads lately. Hama beads come in three sizes and can be arranged on peg boards to make patterns. My toddler has been experimenting with Hama maxi beads (which are twice the size of normal beads) and that’s made me want to make my own things with the smaller midi beads. I haven’t used them since I was much younger but it’s fun! My Pinterest board is filling up nicely and I’ve already tried a few things.
