Today I’m devoting my Monday happy things to all the brands I’m currently working with. You may have noticed I’ve posted a few fun Miffy crafts recently. We are big fans of Miffy and I’m pleased to announce I’m a Miffy Mum! Miffy turns 60 on 21st June this year and over the coming weeks I’ll be sharing Miffy’s latest news with you. I’m also a Poppy Cat blogger. Poppy Cat returns to Blackpool Pleasure Beach’s Nickelodeon Land in 2015 and from April 20th – May 22nd will be the featured character attraction, with regular shows throughout the day to entertain the…

I can’t believe that two weeks of school holidays are over so quickly. The holidays kept us busy and we created some really fun memories. The weather has been amazing so we’ve spent a lot of time sorting out the garden. We’ve had a few trips to the local garden centre and put in some lovely plants and veg in our upcycled pallet planter. I enjoyed spending time with my mum over the Easter holidays. She always organises the best Easter egg hunt which the children love and she helped me upcycle a Cath Kidston skirt into a cushion. The…

The Furchester Hotel made its debut on CBeebies in September and was the number one rated new children’s show last autumn. Aimed at 3 to 6 year-olds the show follows a close-knit family of cheerful Muppet monsters who own and operate an ‘almost’ world-class hotel. Afternoon tea with the stars of The Furchester Hotel About The Furchester Hotel The proprietors are Funella Furchester, her loving husband, Furgus Fuzz and their daughter, the unflappable Phoebe Furchester-Fuzz. The Furchester family is joined at the hotel by Phoebe’s cousin Elmo, who is on an extended visit, and Cookie Monster, who has landed his…

Over the long weekend we found time to go and see the latest exhibition at the American Museum in Bath. Titled Hatched, Matched, Dispatched – & Patched! the exhibition brings together textile items made to mark important family milestones. Unfortunately I wasn’t able to take pictures in the exhibition but they had some really beautiful objects on display. The exhibition was organised into three sections, illustrated with their own collections and some items borrowed for the exhibition. I really enjoyed looking at each section, there were some stunning items to look at: Hatched included beautiful Christening gowns and bonnets as…

I feel a little late posting my Monday happy things but we’ve had a busy long weekend away. Now we’re happily back at home and unpacked and I feel I have a few moments to reflect on last week. – I loved watching my 3 year old decorate her Easter bonnet. She chose a pretty purple straw hat and decorated it with felt animals from Hobbycraft. This year she really enjoyed taking part in the Easter bonnet parade at her nursery. – Over the Easter weekend we ate at The Bell in Rode which was lovely. We found out we…

This is my weekly opportunity to remember some of my highlights of the previous week and it’s been pretty busy. We really enjoyed a trip to The Art of The Brick exhibition on Brick Lane. It features over 100 models by artist Nathan Sawaya all made from Lego and was pretty inspiring. Whilst out in the West End we spotted a couple of decorated Shaun the Sheep statues. My favourite was the one sponsored by Cath Kidston near their Covent Garden store. Little Sis loved being a Princess thanks to some Disney Magic at the Cinderella exhibition we scored free…

Yesterday I read an article about Disney’s Cinderella Exhibition Presented By Swarovski. Straight away I booked some tickets to the free exhibition as my daughter loves Cinderella and we’re going to see the film next week. Disney’s Cinderella Exhibition is the official exhibition of costumes and props from the new film, which is directed by Kenneth Branagh and stars Lily James, Cate Blanchett, Richard Madden and Helena Bonham Carter. The tour takes you on a journey through five multi-sensory zones including a Cinderella heritage gallery, Cinderella’s home, Fairy Godmother’s Transformation, the Grand Ballroom, and a Modern Day Princess Gallery. We…

Yesterday we spent the day at Wendover Forest with some friends. We had fun exploring the new Superworm Trail, enjoyed den building and our first picnic of the year (outside of the car!). I love the new print of Alexandra Palace by Georgina Westley I received for my birthday. We used to live near Ally Pally and I could see it every day. I’ve been making some Scrabble tile art for my dish washer – Clean/Dirty Scrabble dishwasher magnets – a tutorial will follow soon. I was sent an ActiviTea portable tea flask to review and it came with us…

I recently wrote an article for Flora who have a great section on their website to help stimulate imaginations and provide new ideas of things to get up to at the weekends. We have easy access to the countryside from where we live and a local farm we love to visit. Why don’t you pop on over to read about our recent day out at the farm. It’s lovely to spark new interests in children and continue the learning at home. Yesterday the children spent the afternoon having fun with a special animal-themed small world play, which I thought I…
