I’m so excited about what 2011 will bring. 2010 has had its’ highs with the arrival of Edward as well as the lows with my husband being hospitalised twice. We’ve spent a large part of the year away from home due to his illness which put a dampener on my maternity leave. However we have a lot to look forward to with planning for baby number two and I need to decide whether to return to work or not in a couple of months. I HAVE to learn to drive this year. Yesterday was spent in the labour ward at the hospital having the external cephalic version or ECV. We arrived at 8.30 and finally left at 3.30 and the procedure only lasted 15 minutes! I couldn’t find much information about the technique and I’m glad I didn’t otherwise I don’t think I would have gone through with it. First I had my temperature and blood pressure taken, the fetal heartbeat was monitored for 45 minutes and I did a urine test.
