Edward still *just* fits in his baby bath but I don’t think we’ll be using it for much longer. I couldn’t resist this little video that daddy took of Edward enjoying himself this evening. I was supposed to dunk Edward right under the water twice but I was only brave enough to do it once! I’m not sure he’s completely happy with the dunking aspect of his swimming class but apart from that he loves splashing around. I wish I was able to take some photographs or video of his swimming. I took 22 videos today of Edward as I’ve been trying to capture him moving from sitting to crawling. In the process I’ve taken video of him playing with his toys, shopping in Tesco’s and on the car ferry. He’s been eyeing up my changing bag for a while but today he finally got hold of it and had a good look. He also grabbed my (un-read) copy of Heat. We’re blaming Nanny for his love of magazines as yesterday she gave him a magazine which he quickly shredded – now no magazine is safe! Almost since the day we took Edward home from the hospital I’ve been wondering when was the best time for baby number two. I love Edward and I’m surprised how much I enjoy being a mother. We were lucky enough to be invited to London Zoo to help celebrate the launch of the new Royal Mail Winnie the Pooh stamps. This was the first time that we had taken Edward to London Zoo so we were all very excited. Winnie the Pooh stamps at London Zoo We saw penguins, an owl, lions, tigers, gorillas and giraffes (our very favourite animals) and lots more animals. Today we visited The Baby Show. We spent 4 hours visiting stands, playing with the latest baby toys, tasting the latest snacks and collecting goody bags like there was no tomorrow! I won tickets, and an essentials b.box which I collected today, from Koo-di. The Show was an experience like I’ve never experienced before and I’m not sure we would go again. Although we got there at 10am the place filled up really quickly and it was difficult to move between pregnant women and buggies 🙂 We watched a first aid demonstration by the British Red Cross and listened to…

Today we met my cousin and her family as she hadn’t yet met Edward. We had lunch in the cafe at the Mamas and Papas on Regent Street. The food is delicious, the location is perfect and it’s never too busy as not many people seem to know about it. Edward got lots of kisses and couples from his adoring great aunt and cousins, and pressies too, so he was very excited. After lunch we went for a walk around central London. I love this picture that I took tonight. We decided it was about time we re-introduced a regular bath time to our night-time routine. Over the last few weeks Edwards’ eczema has improved so much it’s difficult to believe I used to cry over his poor cracked skin. For a while we decided not to bath him as the water dried his skin out. There are still a few dry patches but it’s nothing like it was. Fortunately he still fits his baby bath but now he loves to sit upright – so different from a few weeks ago!
