We found a lovely hedgehog underneath our rotten old shed today. He was curled up into a ball around some old plastic bags. We scooped him up and deposited him in the park at Ally Pally this evening. Robin spent the day pulling down the old shed and rotten tree with the help of some…
Newbie swap: Pick 3 items
Newbie swap: Pick 3 items, originally uploaded by Jennifer Young. I received my first swap today – all the way from Tasmania! The package was great, lots of stickers, a cute bookmark and notepad. I’ve sent three swaps off to my partners around the world. I hope they like them.
My 30th birthday
Hooray, almost the end of my first day being 30. I had lots of presents including a nice new Orla Kiely handbag and necklace. I had lunch with my workmates and saw Spamalot this evening. Exhausting but lovely.
It's the end of the line –
literally and figuratively as today is the last day of my second decade. I was fortunate to take a trip on the Piccadilly Line to Cockfosters for the first time. I was on a course at the Museum of Domestic Design and Architecture which has a fab museum display and shop!
Farmers market buys

And today we visited our local farmers market and garden centre in the grounds of Ally Pally. We have stocked up on tools for tackling the garden…
Hooray it's friday
A late night after too many pints at the Prince Albert, Notting Hell. Thank god it’s friday.

Keane at Wembley
We’ve had a busy few days; watched Keane play at Wembley, my sister visited, saw the Kylie exhibition at the V&A and caught up with some old school friends. Today we braved Brent Cross and spent over 4 hours shopping for curtain fabric! Weekends should be as long as weeks!
I love libraries …
and I’m sure I’m not the only one. I recently rejoined the Barbican library as it’s close to work and I’m fed up with buying books. Today I picked up Alan Bennett’s Four Stories. I’ve already read the last story about the woman who lived in his front garden. I wish I’d discovered him earlier.
