Beautiful bluebells, seen at Waddesdon Manor last week.

Oops, another week has been and gone and I’ve neglected by poor blog. What can I say, except the weeks are flying by. Here are the cute little felt Easter bunnies I made for a recent swap. I’m hoping my swap partners have received then by now. I made them from one of my favorite craft books, Softies. I’ve managed to spend some of my weekend sewing something for another swap which will get posted shortly. Pictures will have to wait until then.

Where have the last two weeks gone? I can’t believe it’s been two weeks since I last posted. I’ve been busy sewing some Easter ornaments for a swap I joined. Just a little peek for now before my partners receive them.

I finished the owl ornament I bought from paper-and-string a couple of weeka ago. It was so much fun to make I think I might make a few more. Have you seen the lovely giveaway over at mummysam’s blog? She’s hosting a giveaway to celebrate approaching 150 etsy sales. It was such a miserable day today I had to make some cookies to cheer myself up. There were a very simple recipe but I used some chocolate with orange and cardamom, they were yummy!

This evening I’ve come across a lovely bloggy giveaway at one of my favourite blogs, the lovely dottie angel. Have you seen the new range Orla Kiely has designed for Target? It includes canisters, trays, plates, bowls, mugs, tumblers and tea towels, in a range of patterns including my very favourite pears print. How I wish someone would commission her to do a product range for a British store. Some of the items are currently for sale on ebay but the prices are out of my price range. Thank goodness for the chance to win some items.

I came across a lovely new-to-me blog today and she’s hosting a giveaway so take a look. The little bunny is so very cute and would be very welcome in our home.

I’ve spent this evening baking cupcakes for my husband’s birthday tomorrow. I won’t give away his age (older than me!) but not too old for homemade birthday cake. Happy birthday darling 🙂

I was fortunate to pop into the Museum of Childhood today. It’s one of my favourite museums, despite it’s redisplay a couple of years ago. They have a great temporary exhibition on at the moment called Top to Toe: Fashion for Kids. I love textiles and they have awonderful selection of outfits, uniforms, paintings, prints and photographs on display. You can even contribute your own photograph, showing any fabulous fashion mistakes, to their website. I took a couple of pictures of my favourite outfits (on my iphone so they’re not great).

Today we went for a muddy walk in Epping Forest. It’s not far from where we live and it was lovely to get out and about. We also visited Queen Elizabeth’s Hunting Lodge, a lovely, quirky, Tudor building. It’s been such a busy weekend. We went and saw Keane at the O2 on Friday and had a lovely meal at the Quality Chop House yesterday. I wish I could say I was ready for a new week but I’m not!
