My 3 year old dressed up as Doc McStuffins for World Book Day today. She’s a huge fan of Doc McStuffins and Lambie. She wore sparkly shoes, pink leggings and I bought her a cute little top complete with printed stethoscope and equipment so she can fix the toys at nursery. I’ve been wanting to try some Doc McStuffins crafts with her at home and thought I would share what I’ve found so far, from costume ideas, to the book of Boo Boos and even snacks. 10 Doc McStuffins crafts: 9 free printable Doc McStuffins colouring pages from one savvy…

A couple of weeks ago we enjoyed our pancakes on Shrove Tuesday with Clarks yummy maple syrup. We were provided with a voucher and a bottle of Clarks Original Maple Syrup to try out some of the delicious recipes from Clarks website. It was difficult to choose what to make but it seems you could easily use it to make breakfast, lunch, dinner and tasty snacks too. Were actually on our second bottle as we’ve been enjoying it so much. It’s always nice to try new recipes as I find I tend to cook the same meals. Over the last few…

What child doesn’t love playing with Lego? My 4 year old was recently sent some lovely new Lego sets from George at Asda. Like any boy he loves his vehicles, and if they have moving parts, even better. He’s not at the stage when he can build them independently but he really enjoys making them with his Daddy. George at Asda have a huge range of Lego and Construction toys and he loves his Lego Technic Bulldozer. This was a 2 in 1 set so rebuilds into a powerful Trench Digger. He’s had a lot of fun with this set.…

Last week my husband celebrated his birthday. I won’t tell you how old he is but it was a big birthday and our celebrations are lasting longer than usual. We’re all a little Minion obsessed at the moment so we held a Minion inspired birthday party. First we had to decorate and used a fun kit from Balloon Time to help us. The Balloon Time Helium Kit contained a portable helium tank, 30 latex balloons and ribbon for £22 which I thought was very reasonable. We bought the kit from Asda and the children couldn’t wait to see how it…

The weather was so sunny yesterday I really wanted to make something equally cheerful to decorate our mantle. This is the simplest craft and I feel a little silly writing about it on my blog. However, the results are so pretty I had to share. Materials needed to make a DIY pom pom tree: Pastel Pom Pom Value Pack from Baker Ross Twigs Old jam jar (washed with the label removed) Bostik Sticky Dots How to make a DIY pom pom tree: I had a bag of pom poms from Baker Ross which had a selection of blue, green, orange,…

Just popping in to list the things which have made me happy this week. A visit to Cath Kidston where I treated myself to a Piccadilly cushion. It goes perfectly with my vintage London bus sign and vintage toy bus collection. Watching and enjoying Birdman. Baking Miffy biscuits with my daughter. They didn’t last long enough to be iced – hopefully the next batch will. The new Merchant and Mills/Uniqlo collaboration. They all feature sewing slogans or images and there are so many items I want (all of them). I think I’m going to ask for this one for my…

You may remember last Summer we had fun baking rainbow jam tarts with Robinsons’ Fruit Shoot jams. Today I wanted to share their fun new competition with you. Robinsons’ have recently launched a Fruit Shoot Jam “Jam Art” contest – a squelchy, squirty and squeezy art activity for children! Over the next few months they are encouraging children to get creative with jam and to send them photos of their creations for the chance to win some brilliant prizes. They sent us some jams to experiment and let’s just say we need a little more practice! The children enjoyed making…
