We love celebrating the seasons here at the gingerbread house. We can’t resist a beautiful new book for children so were delighted to receive a copy of Nature Month-by-Month. This is a lovely book which takes you on an inspirational month-by-month journey through the seasons.
Nature Month-by-Month {A Children’s Almanac for 2019}
Beautifully illustrated in full colour throughout by Elly Jahnz and written by nature-lover and wild swimmer Anna Wilson, this fantastic guide to the year includes nature spotter and animal behaviour guides, indoor and outdoor craft and activity ideas, seasonal recipes, and celebrations of religious festivals and special days happening through the year.
Published as part of Nosy Crow’s ongoing partnership with The National Trust, The Children’s Almanac is a fantastic combination of hands-on learning and entertainment, packed with information and ideas; learn about star gazing and cloud spotting, discover plenty of seasonal recipes for indoor and outdoor cooking, find out how to build a nest box and how to make your own bird food, plus instructions for outdoor games and fascinating facts and anecdotes to dip into throughout the year. There are even notes and diary sections so that curious nature explorers can personalise the book with their own observations and memories.
Nature Month-by-Month is a wonderful gift to treasure and explore throughout the year, this gorgeous almanac will encourage young readers to connect with nature and the world around them. It’s a great book to dip into each month. It’s laid out really well and I love the mix of facts with crafts and activities. It really is a lovely book to help children enjoy the seasons and celebrate them.
Published in October 2018 by Nosy Crow, Nature Month-by-Month is priced at £9.99 and perfect for ages 7 and over.
