We’ve been marooned on the Isle of Wight since Saturday when my husband became too ill to drive us back to London after Easter. Fortunately we’re staying with my mum who is kindly looking after the baby during the night so I can catch up on sleep. My husband is spending every day in bed taking antibiotics every couple of hours.
I bought a lovely Cath Kidston bag in my favourite shop today (a treat to myself for being marooned!) and a lovely book of baby knitting patterns for my mum.
The baby is enjoying the constant attention from his adoring cousins, auntie and nanny. I’m beginning to wonder how I’m going to cope back home alone after so long away.
