A lunch date at Five Guys

My husband introduced us to Five Guys a few years ago and it’s now our go to place for a tasty lunch. My husband has plans for Father’s Day which is next Sunday – we’re trying not to take this personally. So instead we went out for a family lunch today.

We’ve been to Five Guys a few times now and all have our favourites. The children both love their hot dogs with fries whilst we always go for the Cheeseburgers.

Five Guys is nice and simple. Order and pay at the counter and you’ll receive your receipt and order number. When your number is called you can go and collect your meal.

We usually sit upstairs and grabbed a tray of free peanuts to enjoy whilst we waited. I should mention the awesome milkshakes. Milkshakes are my weakness and Five Guys have the best selection. They are probably better known for their crazy drinks machine where you can get any drink you like and refills are free! We’ve used this a couple of times but their milkshakes are so good. Today I had the Oreo Cookie Pieces Shake with Whipped Cream which was really yummy.

Orders come in brown lunch bags and the portions are more than generous. Their Cheeseburgers are amazing and the toppings are free. I opted for mayo and lettuce but there are lots more to choose from.

We had a delicious meal. It’s a great place to take a break from shopping and the food is always lovely and fresh. I especially like the fact they have a board with the name of the farm supplying the potatoes – today was the Van Hul Farm, Dronten, Holland.
