Kate & Mim-Mim coming soon to CBeebies

My two little pre-schoolers love CBeebies so we were excited to hear about a new show coming soon. Called Kate & Mim–Mim, it tells the story of feisty five-year old Kate and her big imagination! Whenever Kate faces a problem or something stirs her curiosity, she and her favourite toy bunny Mim-Mim twirl off to the fantasy world of Mimiloo, where Mim-Mim transforms into a larger-than-life playmate.

Kate is high-spirited, smart and sassy and all she needs for her great adventures is her wild imagination and her best friend. In Mimiloo anything can happen, she can be a princess a cowgirl or looking for pirate treasure. With a different challenge every day, Kate and Mim-Mim have extraordinary adventures with their special Mimiloo friends.

We were sent a preview disc so Little Sis and I sat down to watch it. It’s bright and colourful and I liked the fact the main protagonist was female. She enjoyed watching it so much that we had to watch it again with her brother who enjoyed it too. We were only sent one episode but based on that I know we will be looking out for more. Kate & Mim–Mim is going to air Monday 4th August at 5:30pm with Rip Roaring Race which we’ve watched. Subsequent episodes are The Need For Seed, A Case Of The Giggles, Hiccups & Night Fun and Balloon Buddies.

As well as the episode we were sent a couple of packs of Nerds, remember them? I forced myself to eat them as I knew my children wouldn’t, and two pairs of Funny Bunny Ears. Sadly I couldn’t persuade my children to wear them for long enough to let me take a photo so you’ll have to take my word that they looked pretty cute.
