We love some happy mail and were delighted when a Japan Candy Box landed on the doormat. The Japan Candy Box are always really eye-catching and something my children seem to spot straight away! They are the most amazing monthly subscription box all the way from Japan, and something we always look forward to.
Delicious Japan Candy Box
We received the September 2020 Japan Candy Box. Each box contains themed treats and the theme for the September box was Japan Shinkansen Tour. With the contents of the box you can hop aboard the bullet train and travel across the many regional flavours of Japan. We thought this was a great theme for the box and a fun way to explore Japan.
We couldn’t wait to unbox our Japan Candy Box and it actually took us two evenings after school as we were all enjoying the treats so much. Each Japan Candy Box is filled with 8-10 sweet treats from Japan. Both my kids love Japanese culture so this was a real treat for them. They read the booklet trying to decide which treat to try first.
I love the booklet because I wouldn’t know what item was what otherwise. We love the colourful packaging on the treats and we worked our way through each item, making sure we each tried a taste.
The Japan Shinkansen Tour is a fun tour around Japan. We were happy to try all the treats which ranged from Bourbon Fettucine Sour Plum Candies to one huge Umaibo Lemon Corn Puff Snack. My 10 year old loved the Mr. Ito Languly Hokkaido Melon Biscuits whilst my 8 year old wanted more of the Calbee Tomoriko Roasted Corn Sticks.
There was a great mix of sweet and savoury treats and we enjoyed the culinary tour of Japan via the watermelon seeds, sour plums, green apples and Mikan oranges. If you haven’t tried a Japan Candy Box before then we would thoroughly recommend it. Which is lucky for you because I’ve teamed up with Japan Candy Box to giveaway a box to one of my readers!
