Family fun with our Incredible super powers

Celebrating our Incredible family {with the Disney Store}

Posted on August 3, 2018October 14, 2020 by jenny

I don’t know about you but I’m beginning to feel that I really need to draw on my supermum powers over the holidays. I love spending time with my children whilst they are young, and am so happy to have found a job which fits round their holidays. However, it can be pretty tiring planning days out in London, organising play dates, clearing up after their playing time as well as keeping on top of my blog.

Yesterday was another hot day. We’re keeping little lists of all the things we want to do (to make sure we do them!) and had a lovely day together. We stayed out all day and my husband was surprised that we were still out by the time he had come home from work. It’s so lovely to not be constrained by school hours or after school clubs for a few weeks.

Incredibles 2 out now

You can’t have failed to notice that the most anticipated cinematic release of the year has arrived. Yes, Incredibles 2 was released last month and we are booked to go and see it today! We’ve re-watched the original (which was released before my children were even born!). My children just love Jack-Jack which is why I’m so happy that Incredibles 2 carries on from the end of the first film. We were sent a lovely bundle of Incredibles 2 toys from the Disney Store – take a look at the incredible range here.

Incredibles 2 sees Helen out at work and Bob as a stay at home Dad, looking after Violet and Dash,Β unaware of baby Jack-Jack’s emerging superpowers. When a new villain hatches a brilliant and dangerous plot, the family and Frozone must find a way to work together againβ€”which is easier said than done, even when they’re all Incredible.

Celebrating our Incredible family

It sounds so much fun and we’re all really excited to be watching it today. I expect Little Sis will wear her new Incredibles 2 t-shirt and mask. I love the message behind the film too, that the superhero family need to stick together, love and support each other, and that’s the greatest superpower. I think this is such a great message to reinforce with my own children.

Incredible colouring

As much as we all love each other, sometimes tempers do fray, so it’s good to remind them of the importance of looking out for one another and being kind. We all have our own special superpower too, my own is obviously patience, you really need bucket loads to get through the 6 week holiday πŸ™‚

The Incredibles 2 toys have been great for some superhero action at home. The children love to role play and my children have really enjoyed the toys they were sent to play with, especially the clothing. My 6 year old just loves her Elastigirl Elasti-arm and eye mask which are absolutely perfect for poking her brother whenever he says something she doesn’t like.

Incredible supermum mug

I would love to hear about your family’s superpower. My husband is Mr I.T. Fixer (essential when you blog!), my 8 year old’s superpower is his incredible ability to clean his plate at every meal time, and my 6 year old is a little like Dash, running everywhere at superhuman speed.

Disclosure – post in collaboration with the Disney Store.

    What a fun set of pictures! My son is desperate to see this, which means two trips to the cinema for me – my daughter wants to go to Mamma Mia instead! πŸ˜€ x

    You’re right, your mum superpowers are at their most needed in the holidays!! I’m looking forward to a childcare day tomorrow so I can get work done and recharge my batteries.
