The other day I mentioned that this year is Thomas & Friends 70th Birthday! I pulled together some our favourite Thomas & Friends crafts so do pop over and take a look if you are looking for some crafty inspiration. Based on stories of the railways, Thomas & Friends invites children to enter a world of imagination on the island of Sodor. It’s an idealised world created by the Reverend W. Awdry, where trains are powered by steam – and they talk! With a strong community ethos, typified by a universal willingness to help, practice good manners and hard work,…

Do your children like Peppa Pig? With a 3 and a 4 year old it’s safe to say we watch a lot of episodes of Peppa Peppa. My 3 year old wears Peppa Pig clothes, cuddles an assortment of Peppa Pig toys in bed and loves setting up her own little Peppa land with all her toys. She has quite a collection and was recently sent the Peppa Pig Holiday Time Sunshine Villa from Character Online to review. Peppa and George are in the holiday villa! Open up the playset and play with George in the paddling pool! There’s lots…

The other day I told you how much my 3 year old loves Doc McStuffins, so much so that she dressed up as Doc McStuffins on World Book Day. Last week Little Sis was pretty lucky to open a package containing the new Doc McStuffins Specialist Dentist Dottie Doll from Flair which she was sent to review. In case you haven’t heard, Dottie ‘Doc’ McStuffins, is a six year old girl who ‘fixes’ toys, with a little help from her stuffed animal friends, Stuffy, Hallie, Lambie and Chilly. My 3 year old loved the look of the new Doc McStuffins…

What child doesn’t love playing with Lego? My 4 year old was recently sent some lovely new Lego sets from George at Asda. Like any boy he loves his vehicles, and if they have moving parts, even better. He’s not at the stage when he can build them independently but he really enjoys making them with his Daddy. George at Asda have a huge range of Lego and Construction toys and he loves his Lego Technic Bulldozer. This was a 2 in 1 set so rebuilds into a powerful Trench Digger. He’s had a lot of fun with this set.…

It’s been a while since I posted anything Playmobil related. You may remember we’re Playmobil Playologists which means we get to share Playmobil news here with you. As part of our partnership with Playmobil we were sent two of this year’s Easter treats from Playmobil. I know Easter is a few weeks off but yesterday my children opened them. For some reason the toy inside each egg is illustrated on the packaging which totally ruins the surprise. This is the only thing I think could be improved. Big Brother received a red egg from the Playmobil Pirates range (4942), Little…

Little Sis was offered a new-to-her type of puzzle to review – the Sofia the First 12-piece Cube Puzzle, featuring six designs of Sofia with animals, fairies and friends. It’s simple and colourful and comes stored in a plastic carry case, making it perfect for travel. The cubes are also easily washable. Have you ever watched an episode of Sofia the First (a computer animated television series on Disney Junior)? It follows the adventures of Sofia, an 8-year old young girl who becomes a princess overnight after her mother marries the king. Sofia tries her best to adapt to her…

Unlike her older brother, my 3 year old loves to dress up and role play. She has lots of dress up clothes but the one she really wants is to be Doc McStuffins. Dottie ‘Doc’ McStuffins, a six year old girl, ‘fixes’ toys, with a little help from her stuffed animal friends, Stuffy, Hallie, Lambie and Chilly. You may remember we have previously reviewed Make Me Better Lambie, well this week we have been putting the new Doc McStuffins Playset from Flair, the Eye Doctor Bag Playset, through its paces. Doc McStuffins Eye Doctor Bag Playset includes everything you need to…

Last year I went to a workshop at my son’s school to learn how they were taught Phonics. Reception is a really important year and I have seen my son learning so much, his reading, writing and letters are coming on in leaps and bounds. I’ve mentioned before that we’re currently working with KD UK and they kindly sent us a Peppa Pig Fun Phonics toy to help him learn. This is a lovely bright toy with a handy handle which makes it easy to hold and carry. My 3 and 4 year old have both been enjoying playing with…

Last weekend we were invited to the RAF Museum London for the UK launch of Propel’s remote control helicopters. This was a winning combination for my husband and son and we all had a great day out. An area of the museum had been set aside to try out the new remote control helicopters and there was also a craft table, photo booth and yummy snacks. My 4 year old loves his radio controlled cars and planes so was eager to try out the new toys. The range of helicopters is designed to suit all abilities and ages; from children…
