2016 is my year of putting myself first. I think it’s easy as a parent to spend so much time worrying about your family that you forget you matter too. Don’t worry, I’m not neglecting my children, just spending a little less time catching up on Facebook and investing more time in me and the things that make me happy. So far I’ve taken small steps. Every week I sing in a choir which I love. On a daily basis I try to spend less time on my laptop and more time reading, making and colouring (I love my adult…

I’ve been really enjoying using my Life Planner this year. I know we’re only a few weeks into 2016 but I’ve been pretty good at using it every day and keeping on top of my to do list. Now I have a Planner I seem to be more addicted to stationery than usual. Over the last few weeks I’ve been buying lots of stationery from Hema and Kikki.K so I thought I would try a Brimbles Stationery Box. Brimbles Stationery subscription box There are lots of options available to purchase but I chose the Brimbles Stationery Box. I only wanted…

I do love receiving fun mail which is why I love trying out and featuring subscription boxes on my little blog. The latest one we’ve tried out is the Sockflow.com subscription box which is a monthly sock subscription or sock of the month club, where they pick great quality, coloruful, stylish socks for you. A few days ago a colourful envelope popped through my door containing this sweet little bag. Inside were two pairs of socks and a little card with washing instructions. Now I have to be honest and say I wasn’t sure if the socks were for adults…

Today I wanted to share the latest subscription box I have tried. I love to sew so I thought I would try a subscription box from My Fabric House. I bought myself the Explore Package for £10 and a little parcel arrived containing 4 pieces of fabric, some bobble trim, ribbon, appliques and buttons. I love the colours of the fabric and had the perfect project in mind for the strawberry fabric. A while ago my Instagram feed was full of the most gorgeous patchwork letters, which were a free pieced alphabet from Moda and their amazing designers. I really…

Regular readers will know I *love* subscription boxes and it seems my children do too! We’ve worked with Weekend Box a few times and they were kind enough to send us one of their Mini Weekend Boxes to review. In case you’re wondering what a Mini Weekend Box is, it contains TWO full activities with all the bits you need (excluding regular items like scissors), delivered in a neat box which fits right through your letterbox. They are designed for people who love their Weekend Boxes but didn’t always get around to finishing their boxes. Mini Weekend Box review All…

I’ve been feeling rushed off my feet lately. This is a busy time of year for everyone but several things are being squeezed into the next couple of days and I’m looking forward to a break over Christmas. Today a lovely little package landed on my doorstep which definitely cheered me up. I love subscription boxes and the Happy Paper Club is one of the best. Everything is neatly packaged inside a slim cardboard box which should fit through your letterbox. I think this is an important part of subscription boxes as there’s nothing worse than making a special trip…

I love subscription boxes, for me I’m happy to receive stationery, anything with a cute little face, new sweet treats to try or a littel craft kit. For me the Kawaii Box contains all of these items from Japan and Korea which is why I’m happy to be reviewing the latest Kawaii Box and have one to giveaway too. First of all let me share the contents of the October Kawaii Box with you. Inside my Kawaii Box was a Flan Dakigurumi Plush Pouch, a Neko Emoji Mini Mini Pouch and Finger Family Monster Pouch. There was a cute sheet…

This week I’ve been sharing my thoughts on some of the subscription boxes I’ve been trying. I adore getting mail and subscription boxes are just a lovely way to try new products, often at a fraction of the normal price. I read a couple of reviews about Degustabox and one blogger shared a code for a 50% discount on the first box which I used to save myself some money, normally they cost £12.99. I found the site easy to use and I liked the way they kept me up to date with the delivery of my box. The idea…

You know how I love my subscription boxes and today another one landed on my doorstep. I love stationery so bought myself the October taster box from the Happy Paper Club from the green gables. Happy Paper Club is a monthly stationery subscription service that delivers boxes filled with papery goodness, happy and inspirational messages, and more to boost your happiness and spread a little joy. You can never have enough happy mail and I can’t wait to get a job so I can afford to receive regular subscription boxes! As with other subscription boxes, my Happy Paper Club box…
