My bump seems to have doubled overnight! At 27 weeks Second Baby is measuring 35.5cm long and weighs over 760g. It’s still really active which is giving me peace of mind as I’m in the middle of a loooong gap between maternity appointments. My last scan was on the 25th July and my next scan appointment is the 15th September followed by an appointment with my consultant the following week. Having a second baby is scary stuff. Having one child is hard enough but I know there are gaps in the day which I can reclaim for myself. Two children, though… it’s difficult to get my head round. I’ve been re-reading the Second Baby Survival Guide but with 15 weeks to go I thought I would write a list of the things I want to do before the arrival of Second Baby. (A vbac is a vaginal birth after caesarean) Now the one things that has been worrying me ever since I found out I was pregnant was giving birth. My last pregnancy ended with an elective caesarean. I was scared when I found out I would be having one but I had a few days to prepare myself and my recovery was pretty swift with no complications. For some reason…

I had an allergic reaction to something which made my skin itchy but the Doctor said it was nothing pregnancy related. I sent off my self referral form to the North Middlesex Hospital (where I had my son last year). Week 6 – Feeling tired, tiny weight gain and discomfort around csection. Suffering from terrible nausea all day long so started listening to a great mp3 from Mums 2 Tums.…
