    My 30th birthday

Hooray, almost the end of my first day being 30. I had lots of presents including a nice new Orla Kiely handbag and necklace. I had lunch with my workmates and saw Spamalot this evening. Exhausting but lovely.

    8 days until we move!

Oh the weekend has gone too quickly! Today we went shopping around Covent Garden and I couldn’t help myself and bought some lovely fabric in the Cath Kidston shop and my very first Blythe! It took me ages to find Blythe but eventually I found a very small one in Forbidden Planet. Then we had a long lunch with some friends at The Crown and Two Chairmen in Soho. I was allowed to choose a new Orla Kiely handbag today but sadly after two trips I just couldn’t decide between them all! I wish my boyfriend wasn’t quite so generous…

Not bad for a first attempt 🙂 My resolutions for 2007 include trying to make more things to decorate our new home. I bought The Crafter’s Companion over the weekend and am looking forward to trying some of the patterns out! Originally uploaded by Jennifer Young.

There are a lot of things I hate in this world: my chav downstairs neighbours who don’t care if they play their crap music at 7 in the morning or midnight; my grumpy, stomping, neighbour upstairs who seems to get louder whenever he hears me turn a light switch on; the kids who went back to school this week and make my journey to work even longer; my job; and my boyfriend when he goes out and I discover a big, hairy spider in the bedroom. More importantly, the things I love are my mum, sister, nieces, boyfriend; Orla Kiely…
