Whilst pregnant I could not decide on a changing bag. I knew I needed one but I couldn’t find one I really liked or justify an Orla Kiely bag. I knew any bag would need to be spacious. I am a hoarder and on a good day I have carried nappies, wipes, nappy bags, bottles a formula dispenser, dummies toys, muslins, a spare change of clothes and bibs. I’ve also needed space for my things (oyster card, mobile, money and tissues). Don’t even ask me what I take out on a bad day… First I bought a gorgeous Cath Kidston…

Today we had a rare trip into the West End. We took the little one on his first trip to the British Museum followed by his first trips to Cath Kidston and Orla Kiely – my two favourite shops! I have a real passion for Orla Kiely. I drink out of Orla Kiely mugs, I sleep amongst Orla Kiely sheets, I use Orla Kiely handbags, and travel with my Orla Kiely suitcase, wash bag and make up bags! There’s only been one occasion when I rocked up at a hotel and realised I had a number of clashing Orla Kiely…

My hubby treated me to a lovely new Orla Kiely bag so I chose the punched stem rosemary bag. Today I sneaked out of the house and headed to Covent Garden to buy it (and the matching purse too!). Image taken from Orla Kiely website. No visit to Covent Garden is complete without a visit to Cath Kidston where I purchased some lovely goodies for our holiday to Cornwall. I even managed some celeb spotting, Louie Spence from Pineapple Dance Studio, before heading back to my lovely little boy!

Today was my first day of maternity leave. I only worked two days this week and after our bad news on Tuesday I decided to finish work yesterday instead of today. But how to spend this in-between time? Baby not yet here but too tired to go anywhere or do anything. I decided to ebay some items I’ve had hanging around. So, if you have a burning desire to own some Orla Kiely or Cath Kidston items check out my auctions. Tonight we went to a waterbirth information session at hospital. I’ve been planning a waterbirth for so long that…

Look at this beauty! A changing bag from my favourite handbag designer Orla Kiely. I saw it in John Lewis a couple of weeks ago and promised myself I would treat myself to it. But now the time has come to buy the last few bits and pieces I just can’t bring myself to pay the hefty price tag. Yesterday I googled changing bags and read some reviews. It seems a bucket may be more useful than a beautifully crafted bag with inner pockets, mobile pocket and key chain. Today I also realised something I had been trying to ignore.…

This evening I’ve come across a lovely bloggy giveaway at one of my favourite blogs, the lovely dottie angel. Have you seen the new range Orla Kiely has designed for Target? It includes canisters, trays, plates, bowls, mugs, tumblers and tea towels, in a range of patterns including my very favourite pears print. How I wish someone would commission her to do a product range for a British store. Some of the items are currently for sale on ebay but the prices are out of my price range. Thank goodness for the chance to win some items.

Orla Kiely for Heal’s 2008, originally uploaded by Jennifer Young. I just couldn’t resist showing you this page from the new Heal’s look book Autumn/Winter 2008. We wandered past Heal’s yesterday and were surprised to see several Orla Kiely prints hanging outside Heal’s on Tottenham Court Road. According to Heal’s “Orla Kiely has created a collection of furniture, for every room in the home, which showcases her distinctive style. Taking inspiration from the mid 20th century, each piece is beautifully crafted using Orlas iconic stem motif as a decorative element engraved in the wood and melamine and printed on the…

new Orla Kiely handbag, originally uploaded by Jennifer Young. I love my new emerald giant stem shoulder bag! A lovely surprise present from my fiance this week. Well deserved too with all this wedding stress.
