This week I had a rare night out and I went to my first ‘bloggers’ event: Victorinox Presents Bloggers Delight. I headed to the Victorinox flagship store on New Bond Street to view their new Autumn/Winter 2010 collection. On arrival we were greeted with a delicious choice of drinks and canapes (always a winner in my book!). We had an informal look round the three floors of the shop, viewing their collections of knives, luggage, clothing, perfume and watches. Victorinox is famous for supplying multi-purpose knives to the Swiss Army since 1891 but it is only recently that the brand…

Yesterday a taxi driver saved my life. Ok, so I’m being a bit dramatic but seriously a taxi driver did help us! Our NCT group have been looking for events to get us through the colder months and someone came across Mini Mozart classes. It’s very popular but we managed to squeeze into the post-natal group. Our first class was yesterday at the local YMCA. I don’t drive but I knew which bus to take and did my usual calculations on what time we needed to leave – taking into account getting Edward dressed, clean nappy, packing the changing and…

One thing I love about mummy blogs is the opportunity to learn about new products and win them! My maternity pay will soon be coming to an end and we don’t have the money to spend like we used to. I’ve been really lucky recently and won a boppy feeding pillow from And Then There Was Me. I use it to prop Edward up on as he hasn’t quite mastered sitting up on his own. Here he is relaxing, watching CBeebies the other morning. I’ve also won Vintage at Goodwood tickets from the Clothing at Tesco blog, a retro 1960s…

A couple of weeks ago we bought Edward a Lindam bouncer. It was recommended by all our friends and seemed simple enough to use. [youtube=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y1gJF_QwpxI&fs=1&hl=en_US&rel=0] He loves it and spends some time in it each day.

It didn’t take me long to choose a photograph for the theme of this weeks’ gallery. Today I scanned an old photograph album my mum gave me of my early years. I was getting a bit fed up of people saying how much Edward looks like his father so decided to look at some old photos to see if they were right. Anyway, I came across the picture of me and my sister sharing a bath in the 1970s (writing that makes me feel very old!) and I knew it summed up the theme perfectly. I don’t make friends easily.…

I hate being photographed. I’m not sure when it started, but when I was looking through all the photos I’ve taken of Edward since he was born I realised there were only a couple of us together. Over the next few weeks I will rectify this. In honour of the theme of this week’s gallery: self-portrait I’ve chosen the following: a picture of me at the Royal Clarence in Exeter I LOVE photobooth! Me in a very stupid (but necessary) hat on a ferry off the Norwegian coast on honeymoon This post was written for Week 12 of Tara’s Gallery.…

I love Ugly Betty and this trailer made me laugh!
