The weather has been amazing over the last few days. May has been a bit of mixed bag. One week the kids were back in coats for the school run and this week I’ve had trouble getting clothes on them! The good weather has meant we’ve been eating a little later and pushed bed times back as no-one can sleep in the hot evenings. Enjoying the good weather with Cranes cider I review a lot of toys and products that my children love but today I’m sharing something I recently discovered and is perfect for hot summer evenings – Cranes cider.…

My husband introduced us to Five Guys a few years ago and it’s now our go to place for a tasty lunch. My husband has plans for Father’s Day which is next Sunday – we’re trying not to take this personally. So instead we went out for a family lunch today. We’ve been to Five Guys a few times now and all have our favourites. The children both love their hot dogs with fries whilst we always go for the Cheeseburgers. Five Guys is nice and simple. Order and pay at the counter and you’ll receive your receipt and order…

I have something a little different to share with you today. I love to show you the contents of the subscription boxes I try and I received an email about Carnivore Club asking me to try it. I’m not a foodie but I loved the sound of this subscription box. In a nutshell, Carnivore Club is a monthly delivery subscription service of British artisan charcuterie. Once a month, boxes which are full to the brim with unique, innovative charcuterie are delivered straight to customers’ doors all over the world. The company began in Canada and America in 2013 and progressed…

If you follow me over on Instagram you’ll know I recently posted this pic of The Easter Goody bag from Hotel Chocolate. I was kindly sent one to review and have been enjoying trying these indulgent goodies this week. Hotel Chocolat is a British chocolatier and cocoa grower, with over seventy shops in the United Kingdom. Hotel Chocolat is the only company in the United Kingdom to grow cocoa on its own plantation. The Easter Goody Bag is a great size for chocolate lovers, filled with a selection of handbag-sized treats. This makes a great alternative to a traditional…

2016 is my year of putting myself first. I think it’s easy as a parent to spend so much time worrying about your family that you forget you matter too. Don’t worry, I’m not neglecting my children, just spending a little less time catching up on Facebook and investing more time in me and the things that make me happy. So far I’ve taken small steps. Every week I sing in a choir which I love. On a daily basis I try to spend less time on my laptop and more time reading, making and colouring (I love my adult…

The start of the school term is feeling very real at the moment. I’m panic buying school uniform, have stuck up the pictures of Reception we were given and have bought my 4 year old a Planes 2 Fire and Rescue lunchbox so I can bribe him to help him get through the first few days. He’s a good eater so I’m hoping to pack it full of tasty treats. One thing he’ll definitely be taking are Yollies. We were sent some samples to try and he really loved them. Yollies are a fruity yogurt on a stick, packaged in…

The other week I was given the opportunity to try out shopping with Morrisons online. As a busy mum of two I have little time for food shopping, it is my least favourite chore, especially with two pre-schoolers in tow. Nothing beats sitting down when the children are in bed, making a shopping list and getting it delivered without leaving the front door! I love meal planning so it was pretty easy to translate my shopping list to an online order. Morrison’s website is easy to use, it was quick to sign up to the online service, and there were…

On Sunday we headed to our local ASK Italian for a Mother’s Day meal. We ate in the ASK Italian in Northwood which is in a converted Post Office. I’ve often walked past but never gone in so I was excited about finally venturing inside. I booked online in advance as I knew it would be busy so when we arrived we were immediately taken to our table. The building is really light and airy and makes excellent use of the old sorting office for a spectacular environment to eat. Although there was a special 3 course menu we opted to…

How are you coping with half term? I’m pretty pleased we’ve reached the half way point 🙂 I love my 3 year old but he talks non-stop from the second he sneaks into bed with me in the morning until his bedtime. Those few hours he spends at nursery each day are a very welcome break but that’s not to say the break from the normal routine isn’t welcome. We’ve been pretty busy with a trip into the West End, story time at the library and lots of baking and crafts at home. I thought the children needed a boost…
