My children love Elmer the Patchwork Elephant. He is a loveable character with an important message for children (and adults too!) – “Why fit in when you were born to stand out?”. We had so much fun painting our ceramic elephant to look like Elmer! The first Elmer Day will be held on May 28th 2016. My children really enjoy the stories of Elmer the Elephant. Elmer the Patchwork Elephant is a children’s picture book series by British author David McKee. We’ve amassed quite a collection of Elmer books and were delighted to discover that the first Elmer Day will be held on May 28th 2016.
