It is no secret that colouring in for adults was the biggest new book trend of 2015 and one which I absolutely love. Now innovative greeting card company Cardooo, who also stock activity cards and fairytale story cards for children, have released a unique range of colouring in cards for adults. Each of the six designs contains an 8 page illustrated booklet hidden inside. Colouring is not just child’s play, picking up your pencils and getting arty is good for you. It promotes mindfulness, relieves stress, and can benefit fine motor skills. The series consists of six unique styles, each…

Luckily for me I was sent a new adult colouring book which has been keeping me busy – Landmarks of the World. The buildings featured are selected from every corner of the globe and ordered chronologically displaying a unique and fascinating picture of architectural development and changing trends. So I’m pretty pleased to be able to offer a Split Speeders Blade Raid Track set to one of my amazing readers. Find fast-paced splitting and racing madness with the Blade Raid Track set, where insane spinning “saw blades” are waiting to split your cars…

What does this time of year mean to your family? To us it means picnics, day trips and lots of fresh air. Unfortunately for my poor 6 year he also has to deal with hay fever which means itchy eyes and a snuffy nose. I’ve never suffered with hay fever but my husband does and was able to recognise his symptoms. I spent a while looking for something to ease his symptoms and have recently been trying out HayMax Kids allergen barrier balm. HayMax Kids allergen barrier balm is a prevention rather than a cure and acts to trap pollen, dust or…

I love adult colouring books as you probably all know by now. I spend so long colouring with my children that I’m happy to have my own books and am happy to spend some time colouring in when I need to switch off for a bit. I keep thinking that there can’t possibly be any more to invent when I was told about Colour with Me, Mum! by Jasmine Narayan. Featuring over 50 unique colouring templates, family psychologist Dr. Jasmine Narayan’s colouring book is shaped to make colouring side by side easier. Each spread features a single piece of art connected across…

In our house gingerbread is a treat all year round. There’s something about the smell and taste which I find very comforting. I’m always happy to mix up some dough and spend a happy afternoon cutting out shapes, I think gingerbread makes the best after school treat! Ages ago I discovered Gingerbread Wonderland by Mima Sinclair. I’ve tried a few of the recipes and the light and dark gingerbread doughs are lovely. I used the light gingerbread dough to make Clangers and Iron Golem biscuits, both of which were a success. The book contains many more ideas than two different…
