A few weeks ago I told you about the fun we were having with Smashers. They are a sports-themed collectible toy which has recently launched in the UK. They come in a plastic Smashball and are perfect for unboxing videos! Simply Smash the Smashball to reveal your character! My children love these kind of pocket money collectibles, they are great for swapping with friends. The red Smashball puts the action right in your hands. Just throw, smash, surprise to find over 100 wacky sports characters inside! Then use the characters to battle against the Bad Sports to earn Smash Points and become a Smasher…

It’s no secret around here that my 8 year old is a huge Minecraft fan. I can’t remember when he was first introduced to it but he loves it. It was his birthday last week and there was a definite Minecraft theme going on. I managed to find Minecraft inspired tablecloths, plates, cup and napkins for his party, and had fun making him a Minecraft inspired chest to hold some of his birthday presents. We also made some Minecraft inspired wall art for his bedroom which he really liked. Not only does he enjoy playing Minecraft but he pretty much…

A few weeks ago we took part in a really fun Twitter party to introduce to the new Vampirina toys. Have you watched Vampirina? It’s the hot new Disney Junior TV show which celebrates friendship and difference – with a spooktacular twist! My children really enjoy the programme. Vampirina follows the story of Vampirina “Vee” Hauntley who becomes the new kid on the block after she and her family move from Transylvania to Pennsylvania to open a local bed and breakfast called the Scare B&B for visiting ghouls and goblins. We reviewed some of the toys which accompany the tv show including Vee’s Spooktastic Spookylele, Hauntley’s Mobile and Vampirina…

Down on the farm there’s a terrible pong. (Well the animals are pooing there all day long!) SPLAT! What’s that? It’s a big cow pat. Farmer Jill is well aware of the ecological benefits that animal excrements can have for farmland. But she just can’t keep on top of it all, especially the phantom flying poo. But all suspicions firmly point to the rooster… Cock-a-doodle-poo! is a side-splitting, rhyming, riot packed full of toots, poops, plops and parps from award-winning author Steve Smallman and illustrator Florence Weiser. This poop-packed extravaganza is the perfect read for fans of Poo in the…

Last month I told you a little about Series 1 of SuperZings. They are everyday objects brought to life in a fun, hero vs villain rivalry theme. Clad in iconic superhero capes and eye-masks, there are more than 80 multi-coloured figures to collect in total, each with a matching ‘rival’, which adds a fun new dimension. SuperZings are perfect for ages 4-8 and my children love them. They are the perfect pocket money prices which means it’s easy for them to collect and swap with friends. My son was sent a very generous selection which included a Starter Pack, Blind Packets,…

Last week I visited Lady Dinah’s Cat Emporium (London’s first cat cafe) to celebrate The LEGO NINJAGO Movie which comes out on DVD and Blu-ray on the 12th February. You may wonder what the link is between cats and The LEGO NINJAGO Movie. If you haven’t been lucky enough to watch the film then let me tell you a little bit about it: The battle for NINJAGO City calls to action young Master Builder Lloyd, aka the Green Ninja, along with his friends, who are also secret ninja warriors. Led by Master Wu, as wise-cracking as he is wise, they must defeat the evil warlord…
