    So I realised my blog is a bit short of gingerbread recipes so yesterday I whipped up a quick batch using my favourite never-fail recipe.     Product review: Nigella Quick Collection iphone app

    I recently offered to review an iPhone app for the Nigella Quick Collection. This app contains lots of recipes ideas for quick meals, laid out in 6 steps or less, and allows you to choose what to cook based on what key ingredient you have available. My little one is too young to cook with just yet (and he hasn’t enjoyed the purees I’ve slaved over) so I used the app with my three nieces, age 6, 14 and 18.     Owl ornament

    I finished the owl ornament I bought from paper-and-string a couple of weeka ago. It was so much fun to make I think I might make a few more. Have you seen the lovely giveaway over at mummysam’s blog? She’s hosting a giveaway to celebrate approaching 150 etsy sales. It was such a miserable day today I had to make some cookies to cheer myself up. There were a very simple recipe but I used some chocolate with orange and cardamom, they were yummy!

    birthday cupcakes
