teething

Calpol nights

I loathe giving my son Calpol after finding out exactly what is in it. However it seems to be the most effective medicine when it comes to his teething which is a lot more painful and sustained than I thought it would be. At 16 months he has 6 teeth but a few more have been making the usual signs over the last couple of weeks.

I’ve always needed a good nights sleep and being pregnant is no different. I need more sleep but right when I need it I find it is regularly escaping me at the door to my own son’s room. Edwards teething seems to be reaching fever pitch lately and I was horrified to discover I forgot to take our pouch of teething medicines and powders on a recent trip to Muswell Hill. I found myself wondering if we should turn back home or buy more products whilst we are out. His general unhappiness reached a crescendo so I ducked into the nearest supermarket to buy him a sandwich to chew on and soothe his gums.

Interrupted nights seem to make him wake earlier and I’m gradually getting used to our days starting at the crack of dawn. I know I’m not the only parent but I’ve had enough Calpol Nights to last a lifetime, especially as the last one ended up with me needing to wash it out of my hair the next day!

I was wondering if you have ever tried a teething necklace? A friend of mine gave me one to try on my son. He has been having issues with teething. Within 3 days of wearing the necklace, he stopped chewing on his hands, drooling and no fever! 🙂 You can buy them online…but here is a link:
to show you what they are all about. Trust me, I was a sceptic,..but it REALLY does work! Good luck!

Amber is amazing way for fighting teething! But, it’s not about beauty. That’s why i recommend to use unpolished amber beads vs polished ones. They don’t look so nice, but believed to work much better. Also be aware about fake amber. My friends bought theirs from amberforbabies. And they liked it. They saying it’s the same one the use in Baltic countries.
