Win a copy of Alfie and Dad by Shirley Hughes

Have you ever read any of the Alfie books by Shirley Hughes? I remember reading them when I was younger and now my children love them too! I’m so excited to be able to share this brand new book with you – Alfie and Dad from award winning writer and illustrator Shirley Hughes. This wonderful collection of heart-warming short stories celebrates the special relationship between Alfie and his beloved Dad.

Alfie’s Dad Simon is always there for Alfie and his sister Annie Rose. He reassures Alfie during a sleepless night, he rescues favoured toy Flumbo when Alfie leaves him on the bus, and he’s on hand to share in and give advice on all those little mysteries of life that children discover whilst growing up.

Acting as the twelfth book in the Alfie Series, Alfie and Dad is presented for the first time as a stunning hardback gift edition, containing three short tales that are perfect for children to read out loud with their own dad, on Father’s Day or any day.

2017 is an especially important year for the author Shirley Hughes, this summer she will be celebrating her 90th birthday as well as the 40th anniversary of one of her most treasured creations, Dogger.
