Starting my week with The Weekly Edit is a ritual I’ve kept for years. It’s my favourite Monday morning anchor—a chance to slow down, celebrate the ‘small wins,’ and gather the smiles from the week behind us. Part reflection and part record-keeping, it’s my way of documenting our family’s adventures before the next chapter begins.
The Weekly Edit {Week 27/2026}
Last week was busy for our family. The weather was cooler and it felt like we were able to fit in a lot of fun experiences. My oldest teen went to his Year 11 Prom. He hired a lovely suit in a fab light pink colour and looked really grown up. He had a great time with his friends – thankfully they are all heading back for Sixth Form in a couple of weeks.
The youngest teen scored a ticket to see Harry Styles at Wembley Stadium! She loves live music and enjoyed putting a special outfit together. She had a really great time and made some core memories with her friends.
I stayed at home and looked after the dog and finished another Happily puzzle. This time it was a 1,000 piece contemporary puzzle featuring stunning illustrations of classic book spines by the renowned artist Harriet Thomas-Bush. I enjoyed the colours and patterns and kept me busy over the weekend.
I love a trip to the theatre and watched Glengarry Glen Ross at The Old Vic in Waterloo, London. This was a fun interpretation of the film with an all-female cast. The theatre has also been re-configured in the round which made for an interesting experience. We had pre-theatre dinner at Tas The Cut which was really delicious., followed by a walk to see the street art in the Leake Street Tunnel.
My husband and son enjoyed a day at Silverstone watching the British Grand Prix. The weather was hot and sunny (again!) and they took lots of photographs. I stayed at home but treated myself to a new summer hair cut.
