Five Happy Things

Five Happy Things {Week 33/2025}

Starting the week by writing the Happy List is something I’ve been doing for the last few years. It’s my chance to sit down and reflect on the things that made me smile in the previous week, as well as to record some of our family adventures.

My husband and I love going to the theatre and booked last minute tickets to watch The Book of Mormon at The Prince of Wales Theatre in London. It was very funny and a little bit naughty so I was glad we left the kids at home.

I finished my Summer Craftpod sub box, which contained a pretty beach scene stitched on three different pieces of linen. It’s been a while since I have enjoyed one of these craft boxes and it has been the perfect project to work on during our holiday.

We are currently away on our summer holiday and have driven through France and Belgium on the way to Germany. We enjoyed Belgian beer and delicious Belgium waffles in the pretty city of Liege.

Then it was on to Germany where we stayed in the even prettier town of Monchau, which was within easy reach of the Nurburgring to experience a day of racing on the world famous track. We feasted on schnitzel, apple strudel and German beer.

Our most recent stop has been a few days in a Eurocamp at Wirfttal in Germany. The site is very pretty at the park is in the Eifel National Park. We have been swimming, playing mini golf and exploring the local area – as well as eating more schnitzel, apple strudel and German beer.

What has made you happy this week?
