Starting the week by writing the Monday Happy List is something I’ve been doing for a while. It’s a chance for me to sit down and reflect on the things that made me happy in the previous week, as well as to record some of our family adventures. It’s a post I always love to sit down and write. I’m mixing things up a little by posting this weekly post on Sunday instead of Monday!
Sunday Happy Things {Week 423}
My sister came to stay for a few days and brought one of her dogs which was fun. It was lovely having a house guest and the kids enjoyed having someone to play games with.
My daughter had a really fun trip to Kidzania at Westfield London with school. We’ve been lucky to visit a few times and she always has fun. It sounds like it was a different experience during the week and she enjoyed trying some new careers out.
She was also invested at Scouts which we were able to go and watch. I can’t believe I have two children in Scouts now! I’ve spent the last few evenings taking all her badges from her Cubs jumper and stitching some of them onto her Scouts jumper. Spare badges have gone onto her Beavers blanket. She mentioned getting a new Scouts blanket but she’ll have to learn how to sew if she wants to move all her badges onto it!
On Saturday the children made this years’ Christmas cakes and Christmas puddings with my mum. Her house smelled amazing, nothing beats the smell of homemade Christmas cake baking in the oven.
On Saturday evening I booked for us to visit RHS GLOW 2022 at Garden Wisley. Last year we visited Christmas at Kew which was amazing but we wanted to visit somewhere different. We love RHS Garden Wisley and the light trail was a really lovely experience.
I’m reading Yours Cheerfully by A J Pearce. It feels like I read the first book in the series, Dear Mrs Bird, ages ago, and I hadn’t realised the author had written two more books.

November 21, 2022 at 10:30 pmHow lovely that your sister came to visit. My son is in Beavers as well and soon will be joining scouts. The badges keep coming as far as I can see and lots of sewing to do myself
