Monday Happy Things {Week 374}

Starting the week by writing the Monday Happy List  is something I’ve been doing for a while. It’s a chance for me to sit down and reflect on the things that made me happy in the previous week, as well as to record some of our family adventures. It’s a post I always love to write.

I was so pleased to finish the mini tree kit I bought which was a collaboration between The Barmy Fox and Copper Blush. The embroidered tree makes a lovely decoration and the addition of the wire tree just makes it a little different.

One day after school we made gonk cupcakes. It was a bit of a Pinterest fail as they didn’t turn out as well as we hoped. It’s been a while since we had a Pinterest fail but this was a good one!

On Saturday we had an amazing lunch at the Red Onion Cafe in Ruislip. We sat outside in their cozy outdoor space and enjoyed butternut squash soup and hot chocolates. It felt really nice to not be rushing around for once.

This year we wanted to pick a real Christmas tree so popped down to choose one. We’ve had a fake tree for the last few years and wanted the smell of a real tree. It was pretty funny watching the kids carry it back to the car.

Our little elves have been having lots of adventures since they arrived. My favourite so far was seeing all their Elfazon deliveries stacked up one morning. It’s good to see they have just as many deliveries as we do.

Have a great week!

  1. I love the embroidered tree on the mini tree kit, it is beautiful. I keep meaning to try my hand at needle craft. We tend to stick with a fake tree but a real tree would be lovely as I’ve not had one since my childhood many years ago.
