Monday Happy List {Week 349}

Starting the week by writing the Monday Happy List  is something I’ve been doing for a while. It’s a chance for me to sit down and reflect on the things that made me happy in the previous week, as well as to record some of our family adventures. It’s a post I always love to write.

Monday Happy List {Week 349}

My mum looked after the kids so we could enjoy a day in Windsor. It had been a long time since our last visit but we enjoyed a lazy walk around the shops uninterrupted. I had forgotten what it was like to go shopping without two people who want everything they see and ended up with some new shoes. We had lunch in a sweet old pub in the shadows of Windsor Castle too.

A local farm has recently install an egg vending machine and we couldn’t wait to go and try it out. Duck’s Hill Farm egg vending machine is the easiest way to get hold of delicious fresh eggs. The kids loved choosing the eggs they wanted and we used them to make a delicious Father’s Day breakfast.

I ordered some lovely new craft kits. Although I have a few projects I should probably finish first I haven’t wanted to pick them up this week. So I found a few things I would like to make on Instagram and they arrived last week. I’ve already started a fun embroidery hoop from Hello Treacle.

My daughter was given some baking for her DT homework at school. She loves to be in the kitchen and had lots of fun baking biscuits. She ended up with over 50 of them though, so I think we’ll be eating them all week!

All the rain we’ve been having has done wonders for my garden. I’m not usually very successful at growing anything but my sunflowers are growing tall and strong and we have lots of pea pods too. The kids are really enjoying having a little patch to look after and it’s something we all enjoy looking after.

Have a great week!
