Last weekend we ventured out to Pinner Memorial Park, a lovely park right in the centre of Pinner. It’s a lovely large park with a pond, aviary, children’s playground and cafe.

Pinner Memorial Park is on land that was part of the West House estate, at one time the home of Lord Nelson’s daughter Horatia. In 1934 part of the grounds were acquired by Harrow UDC for public open space. Additional land was acquired in 1949 as well as West House, and the park opened as Pinner Memorial Park in 1950.

Pinner Memorial Park is a great spot right in the heart of Pinner. It’s a place we love to visit at any time of the year. The weather wasn’t great on our last visit but that didn’t stop us taking the dog for a walk around the park. There is also a really lovely children’s playground with lots of different things for them to do. It’s a place my children love to visit.

I couldn’t use some of the photographs I took on our most recent visit as they didn’t show the place at its best. Thankfully I have some photos from a previous visit which shows some of the very mature trees in the park.

There are plenty of places to walk, as well as a few geocaches to look for, and painted rocks to discover.

At the west side of the park you can find the Heath Robinson Museum (currently closed) and Daisy’s In The Park (currently open for takeaway only). We did purchase amazing hot chocolates to warm us up and picked up some delicious cake to enjoy at home (in the warm!).

It’s such a lovely place to explore and easy to access from Pinner town centre. It’s just the right size for a quick walk on a very cold day or a picnic under the trees on a warmer day.
