I love to start the week by writing the Monday Happy List. It’s a chance for me to sit down and reflect on the things that made me happy in the previous week, as well as to record some of our family adventures – it’s a post I always enjoy writing. It’s beginning to feel a little Christmassy around here. I changed my blog header to a festive version, baked mince pies and put the Christmas bedding on!
Monday Happy List {Week 267}
Last week I went to see Olafur Eliasson: In Real Life at Tate Modern with my husband. I love visiting Tate Modern and we were wowed by the size of Fons Americanus, a 13-metre tall working fountain inspired by the Victoria Memorial in front of Buckingham Palace, London. The Olafur Eliasson exhibition was amazing and very interactive with a walk through a fog filled tunnel and colourful lights, as well as shocking photos of glaciers in Iceland taken 20 years apart.
My son is obsessed with getting his Blue Peter badges at the moment. The limited edition Blue Peter Music badge arrived last week just as he was sending off his special Blue Peter comic in the hopes of getting his Blue Peter Silver badge.
My children rarely have after school activities at the same time. It always seems like they need to be in different places at different times. They recently started karate together so we dropped them off and went and tried our local bar, the Hop and Vine on Ruislip High Street. It was so nice to be out so this is definitely something we’ll have to do more often.
I felt super crafty and finished a load of craft projects I’d been working on including my Playmobil Snow Globe, my wooden block birthday countdown, my advent countdown and the children’s re-useable advent calendars. It feels so good to have finished everything although I’ve come up with a few new projects to make.
Yesterday I went to watch Frozen 2 with my daughter. We hardly ever get to go out just the two of us, so we watched the film, had lunch and did some shopping. It was lovely to spend time with her and the film was pretty good too.

November 26, 2019 at 9:03 pmI’m a big fan of modern art so would really love to see the exhibition Olafur Eliasson: In Real Life at the Tate Modern. We were going to visit the Tate Britain in a few days but I think you’ve persuaded me to go to the Tate Modern now, especially as we love Iceland too
