New year, new room for my daughter

As much as I love December and Christmas, I also love January. It’s generally a quiet month when we plan and do lots of jobs around the home. Top of our list for January is my daughter’s room which hasn’t been decorated for a good few years. When we moved in she was just 2 years old and loved pink. It’s fair to say she has changed a lot over the last few years.

New year, new room for my daughter

I’ve been really enjoying the last fews days. I’ve been super-organised this month. All the Christmas presents are wrapped and hidden. Even the Christmas food has been bought (and frozen). Which means I’ve had a little more time for browsing the internet and planning!

My daughter loves her bedroom. This year we changed a lot of her furniture and made it (hopefully) a more fun place to be. She loves reading and colouring – what child doesn’t? So a desk space is really important to her. I found the most amazing desk and bunk bed combination which I know she would love. It’s called New Tower from Babios, which sells designer furniture for babies, toddlers and young children, and combines a bunk bed, smart stairs, desk and extra bed which would be perfect for sleepovers! I would have loved this kind of bed when I was little and I know my daughter would love it. It comes in three different colours and I love the fact that as well as the traditional pink and blue, it also comes in yellow.

Take a look at this video to see what I mean:

Bunk beds are perfect for many rooms as they save floor space. I have to admit my daughter frequently covers her bedroom floor with books and clothes. I seem to spend a lot of time tidying her room. I’m hoping that she will gain some new habits in the New Year and start tidying her own room. Some amazing storage has to encourage this!

I love planning new furniture and decorating ideas, I even have a Pinterest board to keep my ideas in one place. I’ve Pinned a few bed ideas for my daughter’s bedroom so make sure to take a look.

You can find lots more bedroom inspiration over on the Babios site, as well as designer furniture for babies, toddlers and young children.

Disclosure – post in collaboration with Babios.

Bunk beds with desks underneath them are the best, they make use of the space and I am sure your daughter will love how you intend to decorate her room in the new year

Oh wow, my daughter would love this. We’re hoping to move in the New Year and I can’t wait to get decorating the children’s rooms.

This bed looks super! I had one of those beds as a child – with the desk underneath and I loved it but this one looks a bit more futuristic and cool!

That bed look awesome. My goodness, I would very happy to have a fun bed like that. I had a bunk bed when I was a kid – but it was haunted, don’t ask. It looks a lot better than the one I have. xx

I had bunk beds as a child but I did share a room with my sister and as the eldest I got the top bunk 🙂

New year- new decor options sounds fantastic to me! I love planning a new room – even if, for me, the option to decorate my own home is some time away.

I always wanted a bunk bed as a kid – I’m slightly jealous of your daughter!

That bed looks incredible my boys would love it and I love the fact it has an extra bed for guests but it also offers the desk over it, how clever

Bunk beds with desk under it are great for smaller rooms to save space. Its so important to have a bedroom that the child is happy to stay in as it will make them want to study or play in it more. The furniture range looks great.
