I can’t believe we’ll be celebrating our Ninth wedding anniversary next month. I’m not sure my husband really wanted to get married so we don’t do much to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We usually swap cards and go out for lunch.
I really like looking out for handmade cards and found a great one on Etsy. The traditional gift for a ninth wedding anniversary is pottery and willow in the US and copper in the UK. These materials have been updated to include leather in the UK too.
I love copper so chose a really lovely design on Etsy from Little Lights Invites, hopefully it’s something that my husband will like. I keep all our wedding anniversary cards and this is definitely in style with all the previous ones I have given my husband.
Next year will be our tenth wedding anniversary so we’re trying to plan a really amazing family holiday. Despite not really enjoying the mini cruise we went on last year we’re actually thinking about booking another cruise. The kids loved the Kids Club and the special early evening kids dining. We have seen a cruise to Norway, which we visited on our Scandinavian honeymoon.
Norway is absolutely stunning and somewhere I would love to take the kids. We’re not fans of hot weather or beaches so this seems like a great alternative. My favourite honeymoon photo is of us in Bergen, a beautiful city, famous for its colourful wooden houses and I would love to go back again. I’ll keep you posted!
