Now my husband has finished work and the children have started their school holidays it’s beginning to feel like Christmas. It is so lovely to be able to relax knowing that everything is in hand for a wonderful Christmas.
As you know, we’ve had some fun adventures with our Elf on the Shelf and as he will soon be disappearing for another year. I wanted to make the final few days extra special. Yesterday we found he had delivered a North Pole breakfast for the whole family to enjoy.
What is a North Pole breakfast?
I’ve only recently heard of a North Pole breakfast but it sounded fun and pretty easy to do. I have been picking up a few things such as a Christmas table cloth, extra crackers and some unusual food to make breakfast extra fun for everyone to enjoy.
Basically a North Pole breakfast is a special festive breakfast. Typically you have it on the 1st December when your Elf arrives but I’m sure you can have it any time during December!
I expect you can plan a healthy North Pole breakfast if you try hard enough. Ours wasn’t too healthy but it was a delicious way to start the day. As well as the food we decorated the table with a special colour in tablecloth, elf hats and elf napkins.

Reindeer milk (just use normal milk!)
A fruit candy cane made with banana and strawberries
Candy canes
Frosties as an extra special treat
Tree shaped crumpets (we found these in Asda)
Small pancakes which can be decorated with cream to look like snowmen
Extra special hot chocolate with marshmallows and cream
Choc coins
Our Elf also left a gingerbread house kit. We haven’t got round to making one this year but now we’re all on holiday I’m sure we’ll make it.
