My 4 year old believes in fairies, do you? She seems to spend a lot of time watching Tinkerbell films and we have had fun building a fairy garden outside. We are always on the look out for more fairy fun so were delighted to see the Opening Fairy Doors playset which consists of a fairy door, window, post box, fence panels and accessories to build your own indoor fairy portal.
Opening Fairy Doors allows children to create a magical fairy world in their own room. Sprinkle a pinch of Magic Dust and fluttering fairies are believed to come out at night. They even leave little messages behind.
There are three different doors to collect and we received the Willow one where everything is purple. The others are Luna in pink and Meadow in light blue. My 4 year old was very happy with the colour and excited to see what was in the package.
Opening Fairy Doors is a great way to start your fairy collection. The main item is the fairy door which opens towards you. The door is good quality with a door handle and lock, making it very realistic and believable. There is a small slot at the back of the door and the window where you can put your own picture which is a magical way to inspire and captivate the imagination of children.
My daughter has been playing with each item since she opened the Opening Fairy Doors set but we’ve discussed where we’re going to place everything in her bedroom. The set comes with adhesive pads so everything sticks securely to the wall – no messy glue needed!
As well as the door, the window and two fence panels, there is also a fairy mail box which we both love. This can also be stuck to the wall and is a great way for your child to communicate with the fairies who visit. We often visit our local fairy village but this is a lovely way to have some of the magic at home too. Notepaper and envelopes are included in the playset, as is a bottle of fairy dust, story book, certificate and sheet of stickers to decorate your scene.
I’m really impressed with the Opening Fairy Doors playset. It costs £14.99 which I think is great value for so many pieces and can be purchased from www.character-online.co.uk
