POPPIT POP 'N' DISPLAY BAKERY PLAYSET

Poppit Pop ‘n’ Display Bakery review

Posted on July 30, 2016February 22, 2023 by jenny

My two children love to craft. We’ve made a few things with air drying clay and the children were keen to try more. Lucky for them they received the new Poppit Pop ‘n’ Display Bakery Playset to review. The Poppit Pop ‘n’ Display Bakery makes 12 creations with air dry clay and comes with numerous moulds and 4 clay colours.

Both my children love craft activities and small, collectible toys so they really wanted to try this playset. I was a little apprehensive but it’s aimed at 5+ so I knew they could have a good go at it. With Poppit you can create a miniature world around you that looks so real! All you have to do is load the popper with clay, pop out your piece and then use it to create cute mini creations.

We opened the box which contained lots of different items including 4 packets of clay, moulds to create different sweet treats, small embellishments and glitter, as well as display boxes for the finished products.

Each Poppit Pop ‘n’ Display Bakery Playset has enough clay to make 12 creations. It comes with numerous different moulds and clay colours for children to be as inventive as possible. There are lots of ideas on the box and the instruction booklet has really useful pictures to show you how to make doughnuts, cake slices, fruit pies and macarons. My children were so excited to open their own miniature bakery!

This is a really creative toy which suits my children well. There are so many accessories that you can’t help but be creative. We followed the instructions and made our first dougnut, filling the mould with the super soft clay and using the special Popper to pop it out. I think this is the cleverest piece of kit as it means your clay creations keep their shape.

The playset contains detail mould and a texture stamp so you can give your creations a lot of detail. Layers can be stuck together with a drop of water. You can even add the miniature candles and sprinkles! You really can create anything you like, the only limit is your imagination!

Both my 4 and 6 year old made their own creations, my 6 year old could design and make his own so this is a lovely playset for independent play. The clay dries in 24 hours and then you can place the finished items on the cake stand or in the cake boxes.

The Poppit Pop ‘n’ Display Bakery retails at £19.99. The whole Poppit range can be purchased from www.character-online.co.uk
